Industry Veteran Joins Salem Five to Lead a new Private Banking Capability
Veronica Caira brings more than 20 years’ experience in managing high-net worth clients
to the Bank
Salem, MA., November 12, 2025 – Salem Five has hired an experienced local banker to lead a new Private Banking practice, the Bank announced today.
Veronica Caira, who began her banking career in Rome, Italy and then had tenures at large and mid-sized banks in both Waltham and Lexington, has been named Senior Vice President in charge of the new Private Banking discipline at Salem Five. Caira is a dynamic leader skilled in deposit growth, complex lending solutions and wealth management.
“Veronica is the perfect addition to support and grow our high-net worth client base,” said Paul Kelly, EVP, Chief Revenue Officer. “Complementing our strong business and commercial teams, a private banking practice will add another layer of expertise that our high-net worth customers deserve.”
Caira has years of experience in customer relationship management and building and managing portfolios exceeding $100M. She is highly active on local boards, including the Lexington Chamber of Commerce, Lexington Historical Society and CIC University of Fitchburg, among others. She is fluent in both Italian and Spanish and currently resides in Lexington, MA.
Caira will report to Joseph Riley, EVP, Retail and Business Banking and will work closely with the Commercial Banking team.
