In The Community

Salem Five was Very Busy During the Season of Giving

Our second annual Holiday Toy drive was a huge success. We again partnered with The Salvation Army to collect and distribute toys for children in our region. Jason Varitek of the Boston Red Sox helped us get the word out. More than 3,100 toys were collected! This time of year is also when we acknowledge worthy organizations who really make a difference to the communities we serve. Dubbed “Make a Difference December” the following organizations were honored with recognition and a donation to their cause from the Salem Five Charitable Foundation:

  • Action for Boston Community Development, Malden
  • Catie's Closet, Dracut
  • The Hamilton Foundation, Hamilton
  • Lynn Economic Opportunity, Lynn
  • North Shore Community Action Program, Peabody
  • Pajama Program/North Shore, Salem
  • Santa's Helping Hand, Lynn
