John holds the CRPS® designation, awarded by the College for Financial Planning, focusing on retirement plan design, implementation and plan administration.

Before Joining Salem Five Financial

John worked at a boutique financial planning firm in southern California as a Financial Consultant, focusing on retirement planning for business owners and their employees to prepare them for retirement readiness and to develop life-time income strategies for tomorrow’s retirees. Prior to his wealth management profession, he was a research scientist at a world-renowned biotech company, developing human therapeutics to improve patient’s lives.

Personal

John is an outdoor enthusiast and avid bicyclist supporting non-profit/charitable organizations. One of the most memorable fund-raising events was the 2007 California Coast Classic Tour, a 500 mile bike ride along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway all the way from San Francisco to Los Angeles. More than 230 cyclists amassed over $1.3 million to create awareness and to support research activities for the estimated 46 million Americans affected by Rheumatoid Arthritis.
