Stimulus Payment Information
Relief payments from the American Rescue Plan Act are starting to be sent out by the IRS, and the first people to receive checks will likely be those who have direct deposit set up with the IRS. This is because the government already has their account information on file and doesn’t need to go through the process of printing, sorting and mailing physical checks. People who do not have direct deposit will need to wait for their payment to be mailed.
- To be eligible for the full $1,400, individuals must have an adjusted gross income (AGI) below $75,000
- Married couples filing jointly must have an AGI under $150,000 to receive the full $2,800
The payments are based on either 2019 or 2020 income, depending on when your 2020 tax return was filed.

Beware of Scams
Salem Five urges you to beware of scams and criminals using fear/intimidation, trickery, urgency or disinformation related to the coronavirus to attempt to steal your sensitive, personal or account information. Be aware of strange calls, emails, texts or websites that look like they are coming from legitimate businesses or government agencies asking for information like SSN, usernames/passwords (login info), account numbers, credit or debit card numbers, PINs, etc. Salem Five will never request such information through email/text/outbound calls.
