Salem, Mass., May 30, 2017 – Jackie Connolly is running out of closet space in her Lowell home, but between work and caring for a new baby, she and her husband haven’t had the time or the energy to sort through everything and get organized. Now, with help from Salem Five, Jackie and her husband won’t have to tackle the clutter alone. Jackie is the Grand Prize winner of the bank’s “Uncomplicate My Home” contest and will receive a consultation with professional organizer Sarah Buckwalter and a $2000 gift card to the Container Store. Four runners-up each will receive a $250 gift card to the Container Store.
The “Uncomplicate My Home” contest is part of Salem Five’s “Uncomplicate Me” series of events and contests, offering busy consumers expert help with cooking, personal style and organization to help make their lives run more smoothly. The “Uncomplicate Me” promotion was designed to support Salem Five’s new brand platform “Let’s Uncomplicate Money.” With its new branding, the bank seeks to simplify money management by using the latest technology and its team of financial experts to create customized financial solutions, allowing customers the opportunity to focus on the other important things going on in their lives.
Contest entrants submitted photos or videos showing why they needed help “uncomplicating” their cluttered and disorganized homes. Jackie shared an image of one of her closets that was filled to the brim with clothes, accessories and home goods, with the caption “New parents who are running out of space!”
“We’re all tempted to hide things away in the closet or basement instead of taking the time to organize and declutter,” said Salem Five Chief Marketing Officer Martha Acworth. “Keeping their home, finances and the rest of their busy lives in order is something that people grapple with on a daily basis. We’re delighted to help Jackie, a busy new mom, make her home less complicated.”
Salem Five has teamed up with lifestyle experts Buckwalter, MasterChef Anna Rossi and personal stylist Lindsey Foley for the promotion. Each expert has hosted interactive demonstrations and workshops at Salem Five locations across Greater Boston and the North Shore.
