Salem Five Adds New Commercial Bankers to C&I Lending Group
Additions reflect bank’s commitment to serving its growing list of businesses
Salem, Mass., June 24, 2021 – Salem Five added a new team within its Commercial and Industrial Lending Division, hiring three new commercial bankers to further the division’s growth and serve businesses, the bank announced today.
The team will be led by John Rogers, a senior vice president with more than 30 years of experience helping individuals and businesses. The other team members are Joseph Bonavita, a vice president with 25 years of experience; and Gregory Carroll, a vice president with more than 10 years of experience.
“Serving C&I customers is a priority at Salem Five and we’re excited to have John, Joe and Greg here to help us maintain and further that objective,” said Kevin Rourke, Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking at Salem Five. “We believe their background will help us serve our existing clients, while bringing new businesses to the bank.”
The team is located in the bank’s Georgetown office building, which also houses professionals with expertise in cash management and insurance, among other services provided by the bank to its customers.
Rogers has been a commercial banker and private banker in the Boston market for more than 30 years and was most recently a commercial lender at Brookline Bank and, before that, Santander Bank. He is a graduate of Roger Williams University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He also earned a master’s degree in Finance from the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University.
Bonavita has worked in variety of commercial banking positions at both Bank of America and Citizens Bank. He is a graduate of Bentley College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
Carroll has also held a variety of commercial banking positions at Eastern Bank and Brookline Bank and is also a graduate of Bentley, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance.
