Beverly Resident Named Winner of Salem Five's "Uncomplicate My Dinner" Contest
Salem, Mass., March 13, 2017 – Beverly resident Alicia Michal has a lot to manage with three young children, but with help from Salem Five, making healthy meals for her busy family just got easier. Alicia is the Grand Prize winner of the bank’s “Uncomplicate My Dinner” contest and will receive three in-home cooking demonstrations with Chef Anna Rossi, a contestant on the TV program “MasterChef,” and 12 prepared meals for her family. Four runners-up will receive a free two-week subscription to Just Add Cooking.
The “Uncomplicate My Dinner” contest is part of Salem Five’s “Uncomplicate Me” series of events and contests, offering busy consumers expert help with cooking, personal style and organization to help make their lives run more smoothly. The “Uncomplicate Me” promotion was designed to support Salem Five’s new brand platform of appreciation for customers’ busy lives and demands of increasingly complex finances. With the tagline “Let’s Uncomplicate Money,” Salem Five seeks to simplify money management by using the latest technology and its team of financial experts to create customized financial solutions, allowing customers the opportunity to focus on the other important things going on in their lives.
Contest entrants submitted photos or videos showing why they needed help “uncomplicating” dinner. Alicia shared an image of herself with her three children enjoying peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for dinner, explaining that with three children under eight, finding the time to make hot meals each night is a challenge.
“At one time or another, every busy parent has had to improvise at dinner time,” said Salem Five Chief Marketing Officer Martha Acworth. “Keeping up with cooking, just like money management, is just one of the many things that people juggle on a daily basis. It’s a pleasure to be able to make the lives of Alicia and our four runners-up less complicated.”
Salem Five has teamed with lifestyle experts Rossi, Lindsey Foley, personal stylist, and Sarah Buckwalter, Certified Professional Organizer, for the promotion. Rossi hosted two cooking demonstration at Salem Five locations in Swampscott and North Andover and Foley hosted a personal style workshop at the bank’s Burlington Mall store.
