Salem Five's Online Banking service provides a convenient access to your account information and account transactions using the Internet. It makes banking easier and it's available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from your desktop or mobile device.

Is Salem Five Online Banking a secure way to do my banking?
Yes. Salem Five utilizes several types of technology to ensure the security of your banking information.

What are the features of this service?
With Salem Five Online Banking you can:
- Open accounts
- View real-time account activity for all your accounts
- Pay bills electronically
- Send expedited payments
- View, download and print online statements for deposit and loan accounts
- Initiate real-time transfers between Salem Five accounts, and schedule recurring transfers

To access Salem Five Online Banking, what do I need to do?
You must have Internet access through a computer with browser software that supports 128-bit encryption. It is highly recommended that you refer to our list of approved browsers and operating systems to optimize Online Banking performance.

How do I sign on to Online Banking?
To access Online Banking, visit the bank’s website and click the yellow icon next to our 800 number that says "Login". Then enter your User ID and Password and select Sign In. If you haven’t accessed your Online Banking account in a while you may be prompted to use an out of band authentication code sent to you via text or phone call.

What if I forgot my Password?
From the Online Banking log in page, under "Forgotten Password?" select the "Reset Password" link. Follow the instructions provided to confirm your identity. After you have properly confirmed your identity, you will be prompted to select your new password.
To ensure the security of your online account information, you may have to verify your identity using out-of-band authentication where a text or phone call is sent with a 4-digit code to a phone number on file. A complex Online Banking password is also required. The rules for setting this password are as follows:
- Minimum of 8 characters, maximum of 32
- One or more upper case letters
- One or more lower case letters
- One or more numbers
- One or more special symbols/characters (Example: $, #, @)

What if I forgot my User ID?
If you have forgotten you User ID, select "Forgot user ID?" from the Online Banking login screen. Then, enter your email address on file with Salem Five. You will then receive a User ID recovery email with a link to recover your User ID. Note: you will have to verify your identity using out-of-band authentication where a text or phone call is sent with a 4-digit code to a phone number on file.
If I know my User ID and/or Password but want to change one or both of them, how do I do this?
- Log into Online Banking
- Click on "Settings"
- Click on "Profile" and select the item you would like to change

What are security questions?
Security questions help further prevent unauthorized access to your accounts by serving as an added security measure. When you logged in to Online Banking for the first time, you selected five security questions and provided the answers to each question. Under certain circumstances when logging in to access your Online Banking account the system may challenge you with one or more of these questions.
If you need to change your security questions and answers, you can conveniently do this within Online Banking by clicking on "Settings."

Why is my Personal Online Banking session automatically expiring and logging me out?
As an additional security measure, our Online Banking system has been set-up to automatically log you out of your session after 10 minutes of inactivity. To prevent the system from automatically ending your session and "reset" the timer, you must click on another page or tab within Online Banking or click on any link; simply moving your computer mouse will not reset the timer.

What is the easiest way to view my last statement?
From the Online Banking home page, click on any account to view the Account Details. Then click on "Online Statements" to view your account statement. If you would like to turn off paper statements, you may do so within the Statement preferences menu.

How do I let the bank know I’ll be traveling out of the area?
To ensure your Salem Five debit card works while you are travelling, you may use the Travel Notices feature within Online Banking. Click on "Settings", then select "Security & Alerts" and provide the states/countries you'll be visiting, along with the dates you'll be away and the accounts you would like access to with your debit card while traveling.

Can I change my email address within Online Banking?
Yes, it's easy! Within Salem Five Online Banking, select the "Settings" link, then "Profile", then click on "email and phone number" to update your contact information.

How do I view my checks online?
Simply login to your Salem Five Online Banking account and select the account your would like to view. Find the check transaction and click on the icon link to view your check image.

Can I reorder checks within Online Banking?
Simply login to your Salem Five Online Banking account to get started.
- Go to "Account Details" and click on "More Actions"
- Click on "Order checks" and you will be directed to our preferred vendor, Deluxe Financial Services

Can transfers be used to make loan payments and get funds from revolving-credit accounts?
Yes, as long as your accounts are linked. If they are not linked simply call the Customer Service Center and we will set-up the transfer capability for you.

Is there a maximum future date for transfers?
The maximum future date is one year from today's date.

Why do CD accounts appear when I am making a transfer?
All accounts will display in the drop-down list. However, only those accounts linked will be available for transfers.

Are funds checked when future dated transfers are being set up?
Funds are not checked while the transaction is being set up.

What is the maximum dollar amount that I can do a funds transfer for?

How Do I Access Salem Five Mobile Banking on My Phone's Browser?
After successful activation, your phone will receive a text message with your Mobile Banking URL. You can access salemfive.com from your internet-enabled mobile device.
