How to use Google Pay in participating stores:
-
When you're ready to check out, look for the Google Pay or contactless payments symbol where you normally swipe your card.
- When you see this symbol at checkout, hold your Android device in front of the secure reader to initiate your payment. The contactless reader communicates wirelessly with your phone, so all you need to do is tap, pay and you’re done!

How do I add Salem Five debit card?
When adding your debit card to Google Pay, you will also be adding your card to Google Payments. This allows you to use your Card to make purchases in places like the Google Play Store and online with Google. You can choose to add the card you already have added to your Google account or add new cards by manually entering your card information or taking a picture of your card. Occasionally, instant issue debit cards without embossed numbers have difficulty being read by the camera, so please enter your card number manually if you have one of these cards.
-
What if I have difficulty adding my debit card?
If you are experiencing difficulty and unable to add your Salem Five debit card manually, please contact Salem Five support at (800) 850-5000. For additional troubleshooting, visit https://pay.google.com/about/.

-
What happens when I receive a renewed/replacement card?
When your Salem Five debit card enrolled in Google Pay expires, Salem Five will automatically update your card information within Google Pay for you. For any cards replaced due to loss, theft or fraud, you will need to add the card to Google Pay as if it were new – either using the device camera or by manually adding the card information. Are my payments safe with Google Pay?
With Google Pay, your personal account and card data is never stored on the physical device. This means that your actual debit card number is never shared with merchants or transmitted with the payment.
-

Adding your debit card to Google Pay is your choice; you can add and remove cards whenever you need to.
