Louise A. Mallett

SVP, Retirement Services

Louise Mallett oversees all aspects of the Retirement Department, (both Traditional and Roth IRAs), SEP, SIMPLE, Profit Sharing, Individual K, Coverdell ESA and HSA plans for Salem Five.

Prior to joining Salem Five in 1992, Louise spent 14 years at the former Malden Savings Bank, where she oversaw the retirement department. Before joining the banking industry, Louise worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. She has also been a tax preparer for many years. Louise is a Certified IRA Service Professional and a graduate of the Center for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado.

In addition to her work at Salem Five, Louise is an instructor for UMass Tax School, a division of the Resource Economics department at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she teaches a continuing education course on tax and retirement. She is a founding member and past president of the Massachusetts Retirement Plans Consortium, the current chair of the board of the Greater Medford Visiting Nursing Association, and an active member of the parish at St. Joseph's Church in Malden. Louise is a life-long resident of Malden.
